I love finding a good christian book to read! On this page I’ll keep a listing of books that I’ve recently read and enjoyed.
What Women Fear
I loved this book! Author Angie Smith was so genuine as she addressed a common problem...fear. Incorporating personal stories and humor to openly discuss this restrictive behavior. Delving into various topics from the fear of rejection to the deep theological matters like the fear of God. There is only one line I didn't agree with which was her statement on doubt. She believes there can be room for doubt as a Christian. Yet I feel that just like Jesus asked Thomas in John 20:27 to stop doubting and believe, we are called to the same standard. However, besides that one difference it was an excellent book and I would suggest it to anyone.

My First Message
I love this Bible for Toddlers! It is has good pictures, and well laid out Bible stories. The end of each story is wrapped up with a prayer and how to live it out either a craft or activity. I have tried multiple toddler Bibles, and to me this is by far the best.

Purpose Driven Life
Rick Warren does a great job laying down the foundational Biblical truths of Gods Word. This book is great to use for discipleship or just to refresh on why you believe what you believe, and to reinforce it with scripture. Every chapter starts with a quote and scripture, and ends with a point to ponder, verse to remember and question to consider. It either solidifies what you believe, or helps you grow in understanding. Sometimes he repeats certain topics. But I would still give this book a thumbs up.

90 Minutes in Heaven
I thought this was a great book! In the past I have been a skeptic of others testimonials of Heaven. Yet, John Piper portrays his experience with such genuineness and conviction it encourages one to listen. There are verses throughout the book that reinforce his testimony. His accounts of Heaven are brief. The story mainly focuses on his recovery after knowing he was inches away from eternity in Heaven, and coming to grips that his purpose here on earth wasn't completed.
