Are You Going to Heaven?
Life is short, passing by like a thief in the night. As we try to grasp for more of our most precious commodity, time, we realize that we can be good stewards of it, but we can’t control how much time there is. Would you please take a few moments today with your valuable time to choose where you will spend eternity?
What must I do to be Saved?
- A – Admit that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour. Repent of your sins and turn to a loving God who is forgiving and merciful.
- B – Believe that Jesus is Lord and that He came down from Heaven to die for you on the cross so that you may live eternally with him. After three days in a grave, He rose again conquering death, and the sentence it once carried.
- C – Confess to others that you believe in Jesus and have put your hope in Him.
What does believing in Jesus mean:
Believing that He is your Savior, who atoned for your sins on the cross.
God with us, spotless, sinless, lamb of God, deity (Is Jesus Christ God)
For God so loved the world that he gave his One and Only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
John 3:16
The reason these steps are so important is that it marks the inward and outward transformation of your belief in Jesus. If you don’t truly believe in Him, why would you be ready to spend eternity with Him? When God the Father sent his Only-begotten Son Jesus Christ, He was announcing to the world His love for you, not only as a supreme deity in a distant galaxy, but as a personal God, who wants to have a personal relationship with you.
Our human nature prevented us from fellowship with God. (Romans 3:23) And living primarily under the law, the requirements were so arduous that it was not feasible or attainable. (Romans 3:20) God saw our need, and filled it.
I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 14:6
What is the Next Step
Truly make the head knowledge, heart knowledge. Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, receiving Him into your heart. If your parent’s asked Jesus into their heart, praise God, but it will not seal your salvation.
Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. Children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
John 1:12, 13
There is Forgiveness
You may feel undeserving to go to Heaven, but the truth is nobody deserves to go to Heaven. That is why we need God’s grace. All you have to do is come to Him, accept His forgiveness, and believe Jesus is who He says He is.
Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
Isaiah 1:18
It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.
Mark 2:17
Free Will
God loves you! He is never going to force your hand, as though you were a robot. You have free will to choose your life path. But like any choice there are consequences. The consequences of sin is Hell. That is why humbling yourself, and accepting God’s free gift of love through Jesus Christ is so important. It is the only way to Heaven.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God, and your sins have hid His face from you, so that He will not hear.
Isa. 59:2
Prayer
If you are ready to ask Jesus into your heart, I have enclosed a simple prayer below to help you start your journey with Christ. It is not about saying a specific prayer; it is about truly believing what the words say and having faith in God and His words.
Dear Jesus, I believe I am a sinner. I have fallen short of Your glory and am not worthy of You. Yet you died for my sins, making a path to salvation. Thank you! I will not be ashamed, and I will confess you as Lord.
